Dear diary, this is probably going to be the longest post I have ever written. It happened so much stuff during these past 2 months that I do not even know where to begin.  As usual, I will try to make a summary. If you, reader, are in a rush, please skip the parts you think are boring. Otherwise, enjoy! Back to Italy Since my team and I planned to travel to the US in September, it made sense to get the vaccine in Italy. So I took the chance to spend some time with the family, of course. It is always very moving to go back to your hometown and see that (almost) nothing changed. Summer in Trieste is always nice. You just need to go to the Topolini and have a Clanfa or two and you are good to go. (more info about clanfe here ). So I had some really good time. Biking, getting the vaccine, awesome meals prepared by my lovely mother... the whole package. I was also able to join again the Triskell, a celtic festival that I used to go to when I was this small (ok, you can't see my hands b...

Dear blog, here I am, once again, doing my best trying to report the collection of adventures, facts, events and awesome memories that happened during the past few months in this incredible country. As usual a lot of stuff occurred and I apologize in advance if I do not remember exactly everything. Also as you may know I am getting older, so I have a good excuse not to remember all. But these past two months I rode like never before in my life and it has been amazing! I got to see so many beautiful places. I started going after work since the sunset is around 3am (if any), but now days are getting shorter again. I do not really mind having these long periods of sun / dark but apparently it affects a lot of people here. Back To Trieste The 5th of September I will fly to the USA again for the DARPA SubT Challenge. So I need to be vaccinated by then to a...

Dear Blog, this month I am (almost) on time! as usual I can never stop/rest and have a boring life, so even this month was quite busy.. here is the list! Biking Season YES! Finally back on the racing bike! The weather this month has been amazing, and the amount of light even at night permits to workout/stay out even after midnight no problem.  Luckily I am not the only one who really like go for bike tours, and around Trondheim (yes, I said it like a thousand times now) the nature is not missing. But until now it was all covered in snow! It's like waking up from a dream and re-discover the city, which is totally different all green and shining. The tours one can take with a racing bike are very different from each other and vary in terms of distance, difficulty, etc. My 'Late night Tuesday session' (from ~21 to ~23-ish) goes all along the coast and reaches Hell (no, it's not a typo. welcome to Hell!). 60Km of sun in your face and full bike lane all the way back a and ...
