Ciao Pino! Just joking Dear Diary. Did you miss me? I know you did! But I am keeping journaling every morning on the physical one so do not get offended if I do not care about that much anymore. I also wander if anyone is actually reading this. But anyhow! here's the latest from my not-so-still life, enjoy! Sevilla Following the conferences trend of the last few months, here I am, again, travelling around the world. This time I had to present a paper in Spain and, needless to say, it was an amazing trip. Escaping the dark, cold and saddest Norwegian winter time and find refugee in the warm, loud and crowded streets of Sevilla was the simply the best. But the people!? Oh, how I miss to talk to strangers! How I miss the hugs, the physical contact, the touch, the kisses on the chick when you meet someone new! I would have never thought I could say this but OMG it feels so good to have some human contact after a long time. Norwegians, if you are reading this, please take exa...

Dear Diary, I have to admit that lately I have written a lot, but with pen and paper. I found that writing with real tools has a more profound meaning. It almost feels like your feelings are leaving the body to through the ink, ready to be deposited there forever. It's a nice sensation, at the end of the writing session you can really feel lighter sometimes. I have a hole ritual: after the morning training session, while I cook stuff for lunch, I sit down, light up a candle and some incense, deep breath and let the pen flow. No judgements, no second thoughts. As they come, they are written down. And I have been doing this kind of self-therapy for more than 3 months now, I feel like I won't stop any time soon.  I am also devouring books. Of any kind, but lately I am particularly interested in psychology and philosophy about everyday life problems. Modern-stoicism, for example, helped me a lot in this last period. Many researchers from all around the word agree on the fact that y...

Dear Diary, I found myself in a complex situation: I have to admit, there is another one! It started more or less two weeks ago.. Slowly, at the beginning I was not so sure about our story. But now I am more than convinced that it's the right one. Yes.. a real paper journal!! I write every morning. I take my time. No more fast coffe and straight to the office skipping breakfast. Sometimes I even go for a walk, if the sun is out. And lately the sun has been out quite a while. So yea, I rediscovered the beauty of pen-and-paper writing :D After this funny disclaimer, I'll try to keep up with the updates also for my very few social friends, which I know are very few at this point. But it's ok! Finally I do not feel lonely, even when I am alone. I am learning so much about myself, it's insane how much time I spent on other people (the wrong ones) while I had no idea what was going on inside me. Here it comes! Trip to Riga With my dear fellows friends we took a weekend off i...

Kjære Dagbok, Lately I have been pretty lazy in terms of writing. But I had good reasons! Here is the classic update. At the end of this post, you will find a story. I will try to write one new story for every new blog update, let's see how it goes. In this  story, all names, characters, and incidents portrayed are fictitious. No identification with actual persons (living or deceased), places, buildings, and products is intended or should be inferred. Maybe. Geneve - Zurich bike tour Yes! I went to Zurich again! Apparently I cannot stay away from Switzerland for more than a bunch of moths. Jointly with my dear fellow M and his bad boyz (and, unbelievable, a girl) we cycled from Zurich to Geneve in 3 days. It was very difficult for me not to go fast but I managed to keep the pace with the crew and it was amazing! so much sun I still have the shadow of the heart rate monitor on my back after so many months. AH, they took the train back to Zurich, I cycled everything ...

Kjære Dagbok, I have been, as usual, extremely busy. At the moment of writing I am in my room, at home, alone, sick and extremely weak. Nothing too bad I have to say, but the fact that I have not being sick for the past 3 or 4 years (yea I do not even remember when was the last time I had a fever) got me completely unprepared.  Maybe this run in my family? I remember characteristically that both my papi and my bro do not deal well with sickness, or maybe I'm wrong. Anyhow, here a the last three months of my life summarized in a gentle mix of words and pictures. Enjoy! Snø One of the best days in the year, of course, is the last one. Even though some of the korona restrictions were still active, we could regardless have a nice party and celebrate with a lot of friends. But even better is when the whole city gets cover in white, candid, pure snow. Everything is better after than. There is a kind of magic in the air, everyone is much happier. This maybe because we have so little light...

Dear Diary, here we ago again with another life update. I know, I am late. One month late, to be precise. I wish I could say I've been busy with the 1000 factors of life but the truth is I'm lazy and didn't want to update the diary! In any case, here I am to tell once again the events that have occurred over the last few months! I hope you will enjoy the reading even if I know not so many people follow this project. That's totally fine, it's actually more for me to keep track of what's going on ("and I say heeey heeey heeey.."). Bros Yes! My brother came to see me in Trondheim! It was a very busy week, we went for walks, trips, around  bars, we cooked, a lot of warm the. We saw the whole city together and that was amazing. UKA During the whole month of October in Trondheim there is a huge event called UKA. It is more a series of events actually. I was lucky enough to get tickets for the DDE concert, attend the Trønderfest, one of the biggest if not th...

Dear diary, this is probably going to be the longest post I have ever written. It happened so much stuff during these past 2 months that I do not even know where to begin.  As usual, I will try to make a summary. If you, reader, are in a rush, please skip the parts you think are boring. Otherwise, enjoy! Back to Italy Since my team and I planned to travel to the US in September, it made sense to get the vaccine in Italy. So I took the chance to spend some time with the family, of course. It is always very moving to go back to your hometown and see that (almost) nothing changed. Summer in Trieste is always nice. You just need to go to the Topolini and have a Clanfa or two and you are good to go. (more info about clanfe here ). So I had some really good time. Biking, getting the vaccine, awesome meals prepared by my lovely mother... the whole package. I was also able to join again the Triskell, a celtic festival that I used to go to when I was this small (ok, you can't see my hands b...
